YOUTH CLUBS

Founded in 2015, Wolf Pack Basketball has introduced the game to over 1,500 children and youth ages 5 to 18 across Whitehorse and rural Yukon. Regardless of skill level or family income, every child has a place in our gym. We are a fully verified Canada Basketball club, the only one in the Yukon with that certification, delivering Long Term Athlete Development-aligned training across six age divisions with NCCP-certified coaches we develop ourselves- over 30 of them to date- with an 83% coach retention rate (15 of 18 active coaches have coached three consecutive years or more). That continuity is what makes our person-centred approach possible: the same coaches, season after season, who know the kids and families well enough to put the person ahead of the player. With an 80% participant retention rate, families stay because the progression is clear and the sense of belonging is real, and every participant has a pathway that fits, from early entry through to high performance.

Season dates

We run year-round in four sessions: Fall (September to mid-December), Winter (January to March), Spring (April to early June) and Summer (late June to August). Programs operate on a session basis rather than a single continuous season, so families can join at any entry point in the year.

Locations

Our regular programs run in Whitehorse, in school gyms, the Canada Games Centre and the Yukon University gym. We also travel to rural Yukon communities to run camps and sessions on request.
