Basketball Yukon’s high performance program supports athletes’ participation at national and elite tournaments and multi-sport games like the Canada Summer Games or the Arctic Winter Games.
Canada Summer Games
Team Yukon is proud to participate in the Canada Summer Games. The Games are a multi-sport event that is held every two years with athletes representing their provinces and territories.
Arctic Winter Games
Since 1970, the Arctic Winter Games have been an international showcase of athletic talent from across the north.
The AWG are a multi-sport event held every two years and now include representation from Yukon, Alaska, Northern Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Greenland and Nunavik. Team Yukon basketball is proud to participate in the Arctic Winter Games.
Basketball Canada National Championships
The Canada Basketball U15 and U17 National Championships are the premier national amateur sport events for the Canadian basketball community. Each summer, Canada’s top next generation of high-performance athletes at the U15 and U17 and age groups, competes for the National Championship title while representing their home province/territory.

Team Yukon Rosters
The 2026 Arctic Winter Games were hosted in Whitehorse, Yukon. Both the men’s and women’s teams placed third in the tournament and took home the Bronze Ulus.
